Here is an interesting point of view artical by Tim O'Reilly the founder of the O'Reilly book publisher. He is discussing the use of algorithms to curate content as shown on facebook and google. He is focusing on both the consequences and responsibilities that orginizations have for how they organize content and make it available to the larger world community. One of the points raised is does this type of curation have impacts on events like national elections. As most of our orginization are involved in some form of curation and as algorithmic methods may become one feature of how we do curation. What impact do these issues have for our orginizations, staff, and patrons?
