Performance Seat Book Unique situation

Hi Tessiturians,

Any thoughts and suggestions are welcomed - I am still learning all the ins and outs of reports in Tessitura. :)

We have a unique situation in that every night of a performance, we pull a list/report of donors who give above a certain amount, and who also have tickets that same night, to invite them to use our special lounge.  One of our Patrons donates well above this amount, but her daughter (who is not a donor) buys their season tickets.  When our Development department does the list extraction (and we in the ticket office subsequently run the Performance Seat Book report using their list), this Patron does not show up.  Short of having to manually write her name on our nightly lists, are there any suggestions out there on how to have this Patron (and not her daughter) show up on this report?  Is there an aspect of the extraction that can be manipulated?  Or do we have to merge household accounts - even if they live at separate addresses?

Thank you for any and all help!

Best,

Beth Moore Jones

  • I would create two attributes. One for your "special lounge donors" and one for "donors to exclude".  Add the "special lounge donor" attribute to the constituent record of the one you need on the list but doesn't show up.  Then add the "donors to exclude" attribute to the constituent record of the one who does show up that you don't want to include.  Add the "donors to exclude" attribute to the extraction as a suppression and the "special lounge donors" attribute to the extraction too but do not suppress it.  Then you can apply either of these two attributes in your constituent records any time the same situation occurs and your extraction will be set up to add or remove any constituents you apply the attributes to.

Thank you all for your help!!!  This only seems to be relevant to one particular patron though... and we have added her ID separately to the extraction.  Problem is, she is not being pulled once we run the Performance Seat Book.  Her daughter, who "owns" the tickets, is being pulled.    Is this an attribute/extraction issue or a ticket report issue?

    Thank you again!
