General Ledger reports

Hi Everyone!

Embarrassingly enough this is my first forum request...hope it works!

I need to get a report parameter bar in Infomaker to wrap the selected text.  The parameter is GL #s and we often select more than the width of the report.  I have increased the height and width of the band, have also tried selecting individually and collectively the options “ Slide Left", "Moveable", "Resizable" and "Autosize Height".  This didn't make a difference.  Can anyone help with the correct command or the correct setting within Infomaker to wrap parameter selections in the report header?

Thanks!

  • I second this request.  I can't figure out how to get infomaker to wrap text in the same way that the Customer Service issue notes box allows.  Please help.

  • You should be able to simply check Autosize Height.  Moveable and Resizable shouldn’t be checked.

The problem is accounting for the additional space needed in the layout.  Otherwise, you run into overlapping text:

This is a quick test that I made with a custom report using one of the parameter text boxes (named st_p#).

  • I should have read more closely.  My issue differs from Nancy's in that I'm looking for a custom tab element that behaves exactly like the CSI notes text box.  The autosize height option doesn't work for that.

    Any suggestions?

  • Hi Kyle,

If you have a varchar note type column in your table and you've added it as a column in your infomaker report you should just be able to manually extend the the height and width of the note box to accommodate two or more lines and by default I believe this text will wrap around how you want it to. At least it seems to be working that way for me.

You may need to ensure the problem you have is not because you have limited the amount of text characters you can use to be only the amount of one lines worth.
