Seperating Households

Hi

Does anyone have any documentation on how to break up a household account? We have a case where a couple is divorcing and we want each of them to have their own records. We have our own business practices around where the transactions will go, but I don't technically know how to break apart the record.

Thanks

  • First, make sure that the A2 has a primary address (if you require addresses for individual accounts). Then make the A2 affiliation nonprimary and inactive. A2 is now untethered. Then you can convert the household containing the A1 affiliate into an individual account.
