Migrating from v10 to 11.0.4

Rather than following the entire 11.0.3 migration document from A to Z, and then doing 11.0.4 from start to finish, can I do this instead?

Follow the 11.0.3 doc through the DB upgrade and Data Migration commit steps.  Then pick up the 11.0.4 doc and do the rest using that doc, starting with the DB upgrade, TIM, and on to the other components.  It seems logical.

Thanks,

…Dave

While there may be ways to streamline the process of upgrading from v10x to v11.0.4, it is the Network's recommendation to install the full v11.0.3 General Release, ensure that everything is configured correctly and working properly and then follow precisely the instructions to apply the v11.0.4 patch.  We understand the desire to make this process as simple as possible, but following this guideline is the best way to ensure that nothing is missed and that there is no mismatch between components.  Unraveling problems that may ensue by attempting to bypass the standard upgrade path could well lead to more troubleshooting time than the time a hybrid approach would save.
