Our Version 11.0 and Intrix 3.0 is not working

In our version 10.0 system our MOTO Merchant ID and Retail Merchant ID is the same. Meaning if a constituent came to the box office and the credit card didn't swipe for some reason the sales rep was able to manually type it in.

In our Version 11.0 system (we are testing) we can not seem to make this work. Tessitura support is telling us that we need to have separate Merchant Id's for MOTO and Retail. When we speak to Intrix/Transcend they are telling us our configuration is correct.

I would be very interested in hearing other organizations experiences with this issue

We had a similar problem where we were unable to manually type in credit card numbers when we used a Mode of Sale that allowed General Public sales, we got an error message that said “can not format the request”.  We open a help ticket and got a hot fix which corrected the problem so you might want to open a TASK ticket.

  • Hi Bob -

If you use swipers it transmits extra data to transcend, which has an issue interpreting this data unless you have a Retail merchant set up. This merchant can be the SAME ONE as your MOTO - using all the same merchant ids etc, it just needs to have a separate Transcend merchant ID and needs to be entered into that second column in the Tessitura payment method screen.

I'm happy to provide more details or screen shots if that doesn't make sense - just shoot me an offline email!
