Convert to household?

You can tell I'm finally getting a lot of testing done because I have posted all of these questions.

Is the ability to Convert to Household controlled in Security?  I see the option but it's grayed out.

  • Hi Patrick,

Hopefully that is not the case. My opinion is that merging in the context of the Const Convert to Individual is very different in terms of business practice than the use of the Merge Constituents screen to schedule merges.  So far, I haven’t seen anything in the documentation indicating that Const Merge is required to use Const Convert to Individual.

I could be sadly mistaken about this – but I’m pretty sure that in order for the functionality in Const Convert to Individual to work, the group also needs access to merge constituents. It’ll ask you what you want done with the primary affiliates of the record that you’re converting to an individual, and one of those options is to merge them.
