SeatServer - v10 & v11 shared on same box

I can’t recall how to install a second seat server on the same server.  I can’t run the msi installer a second time.  I know I need  a separate folder for each seat server – Tessitura Seat Server 8.0 & Tessitura Seat Server v11 for example.  But can’t recall how to create a second service. Can anyone help?

  • There are instructions in the setup doc for creating a TEST instance using a different name for the service and install location.  You do it from the commandline, not the installer/msi.

For instance, I have four seat servers on my development workstation:

    (pre-pended with “Tessitura Seat Server”)

    V10

    V11 Stable

    V11 Development

    V12 Development

    Hi Ryan,

Is the same true of the report server and credit card server? Can I install two on one server? I checked the report server set up doc and I don't see anything in there.

    Gloria

  • The Report Server cannot be run on the same machine as they depend on the same assembly and runtime.

As for the Credit Card Server are you referring to the Payment Gateway?  If so, then yes you can run two Payment Gateway Services on the same machine provided they are configured to separate ports, endpoints, etc.

But can you configure a single installation of Tessitura to use more than one port?

  • No you would be installing multiple installations.

My response was assuming that each running service/app would be pointing to a different Tessitura system, such as two development or test systems.
