Test Servers

We keep a separate SQL instance for our fiscal year-end database.  In the past we kept this instance on the same server as the Test db.  With June 30 coming up soon, I’m thinking I prefer to have a completely separate server for this now.  Not knowing what the full impact of the v11 upgrade is, having the Test db on v11 and the FYE db on v10 may not play well on the same server.  Anyone tried this?  Or should I keep ‘em separated?

Thanks for your thoughts and comments!

…Dave

If you are keeping a separate instance of your YE database there is no technical reason it couldn’t stay on your test server as you have done before.  If you access it from a V10 client application then you would need to set up a separate set of application files for your Test V11 but that is not difficult.  So assuming you have sufficient space on your test server you should be fine if you want to keep both there.
