Hi All -
Another issue I'm having:
Affiliation mapping is driving me crazy! Has anyone else noticed that affiliations don't seem to have the same kind of reciprocality as v10 associations once did? I'm sure that this all due to how things are mapped, but I can't figure out how to make it work.
For instance, what I would like to see in Corporate account, that an Individual is an employee. Likewise, when I look in the Individual's account, I would like to see that the Corporation is their employer. Currently, this reciprocality is not working, and instead both accounts are listed as the same type (i.e the Corporation is listed as an employee).
What is the best way to map affiliations so that it will mirror the same reciprocality that v10 associations once did? What tables need to be modified and how?
Thanks!
Christine
I may be wrong, but I believe Affiliations are not reciprocal as associations were. That is, it is supposed to only ever say "Employee" on an employment affiliation. Unlike previously, where it may have implied the Corporation is the employee of the individual, instead an affiliation always describes the relationship of the individual to the group (org/household/whathaveyou). So no matter which record you're on, the affiliation describes the person. I think it's one-directional.
