tru_associations table

We are going through our migration process and have removed many of the orphaned tr_xref records that created associations we no longer care about.

Now that we have cleaned this how does one regenerate the tru_association table to reflect the now required mapping?

Thank you...

  • As David stated, the "Migration - Check Database" report is what you want to run.

From the toolkit documentation: The Migration - Check Database report in the Data Management folder of Reports and Utilities runs a series of checks on the database to evaluate the data and the mapping to identify potential issues.  This report will also add to the mapping tables any new data types that have been added since the toolkit was installed.

The Data Migration Toolkit was updated on the 30th of March so that the "Migration - Check Database" report updates counts in TRU_ASSOCIATION_MAPPING.  [Tessitura v11 Preparation: Migration Toolkit, Server Preparation and Upgrade Data Cleanup] can be found in TASK solution #34 under Tessitura Version Upgrades.

Once you've run the "Migration - Check Database" report, any rows in TRU_ASSOCIATION_MAPPING with counts of zero can be ignored or deleted.

Great update, the version we have doesn't do that. (New versions of the Migration Toolkit have been released with too little fanfare, imho.)

  • Hi,

Will downloading and installing the updated Data Migration Toolkit clear what work I have done in the Tru_Association_mapping table?

I need to be able to run the Migration - check database report without having to back up my tables.

    cheers
