V11 Postal Addresses, optional?

Hi, quick question. Are postal addresses optional in Version 11? I've looked through the documentation and haven't been able to find a definitive answer on this yet.

There are settings in T_DEFAULTS in v11 that allow you to make addresses optional. You can even set it to require no contact information at all if that works for your organization.
