Hi again,
Another error question: we're finding that in the Convert to Individual procedure, it won't allow you to remove a primary type affiliation. Merging a primary affiliate works fine; but if you try to remove it, it throws an error stating that you can't, because that individual record is inheriting all its contact info from the household, and we require you to have at least 1 method of contact on each record.
I'm not sure if this is a bug exactly, or if it's just something that needs to be added to the documentation. Is the intention that if you are going to remove a primary affiliate, you would need to first make sure it has legit contact data in the individual record? Or is there some other way this was supposed to be handled that just didn't make it into the code?
Thoughts?
Thanks!
Beth
Just chiming in that we've run into closely related issue as well, discussed during the thread below, i.e. we can't merge a primary affiliate into an existing record nor can we easily un-affilliate it due to the address issue. We can get around this via SQL means, but this is not an elegant solution.

Thanks, all - I'll note it in my internal training stuff and if Tessy beefs up the documentation that will help, too.
