Hi all:
I have come up against a roadblock in our testing for V11 in terms of household searching. Often, I have to look for an individual who is part of a household and so in V11, I tried searching for the last name of a person who is the A2 of a household record with only the "Households" box checked on the search screen and it came back with no results. When I tried this again with the last name of the A1 affiliate of the record, I was able to find the household.
Does anyone know a reason as to why we can only search for the A1 affiliate of a household in household searches? I would like to be able to only include households in my search if I know that the individual is a member of a household as it makes it a lot easier to find them in the search screen.
All of these affiliates have their name in the household name and are primarily affiliated. I have double-checked that the A2 affiliates were all properly affiliated with the “include in search results” box checked, so I don’t know why they can only be searched for as individuals. We have a number of households with different A1 and A2 last names, so this would make searching for people much easier.
Any ideas that you have would be much appreciated!
Cheers,
Laine

And just to add to Anna's answer, you can always collapse the 'household' info if you want to streamline your search results by clicking on the little (-) or (+) next to the Name column header. If you collapse them you won't see all the household information which might help if you are overwhelmed with too much data there!
