NextGen updates to share?

David’s question was timely as we also have started up a V11 Upgrade Project team in our consortium, and had our first meeting yesterday.

So these timelines were good to have confirmed.

One issue came up in our discussion:

Thanks to the Sandbox we are now becoming familiar with the big changes around Constituent model etc.

We wondered, as has happened in the past with a ‘normal’ upgrade, whether there will also be a schedule of bug fixes or ‘old school’ enhancements outside the big bang stuff, say in ticketing setup or season manager or other areas not directly affected by changes in the Constituent model?

Hi Dave,

Thanks for checking in.  Things are going well with the v11 upgrade process.  The migration toolkit has been pilot tested by a group of alpha testers and should be available for download in the next week or two.  We are planning to roll out the completed v11 upgrade to our alpha testers toward the end of the month and are still looking at a BETA release in October and general release in November.

Hi all,  We are beginning our implementation planning and wanted to check if there were any updates we may not be aware of.  How is the Migration ToolKit going?  Has a rollout date been targeted?  Is the general release still looking OK for Oct/Nov 2011?  Just trying to get any new info that may be surfacing!
