While we are looking forward to everyone moving to third-party hosted payments in the upcoming month, we did release this week an enhancement to our legacy TNEW Payment Form as part of constant vigilance regarding security.
Invisible reCaptcha In order to better detect the potential of bots being utilized for “carding” activities, we added Google’s robust Invisible reCaptcha to our hosted payment page. What’s great about this version of reCaptcha is that it only prompts a user to complete the challenge (you know the one where you have to select the images in a grid that includes a stop sign or a bicycle, etc.) if Google is suspicious that the behavior in completing the form is indicative of a bot instead of a human. Instead of displaying the reCaptcha check box for every user, this flavor of reCaptcha will be invisible to most users if they appear to be a mere human completing the form. We chose this version of reCaptcha for the legacy payment form in order to reduce steps for "normal" users to complete the checkout process.
