Prospects/Leads ect

Looking through the recent Tessitura census I notice a surprising number of patron records listed as 1Million+. Now we all know those are not all patrons, but rather a subset of patrons with gobs of various sales leads.

Is separating out leads from patrons, with a migration path from one to the other, being considered for the next generation?  Isn't this a kind of standard for CRMs?
