Windows 10/Death of IE

Just curious about this topic and this seems like the appropriate place:

With Windows 10 on the way, one major announcement has been that IE as we know it will no longer be the flagship browser product, and that MS is developing a brand new code base (currently named Project Spartan). IE will of course continue to be around (and almost certainly maintained and bugfixed for the forseeable future), but the idea seems to be that IE will eventually be sunsetted.

What does this mean for the Tessitura client application?

  • Nick,

As of now MS hasn't made any announcements about the future of the embedded browser that we use.  Hopefully we'll hear more about that at their build conference in a few months.

We think it's doubtful that they will change support for that as it's one of the reasons that IE is being kept in the distribution.
