Modifying v. Last Activity date: Records

Hi there,

Am I correct in my understanding that when you alter data in a record (for instance, when you change an address) that it is recorded in the system as "modifying" (towards the R side, bottom of the general tab of record)? And an "activity" refers to simply opening a record, yes? Input appreciated.

Thank you.

  • Last activity date I believe refers to the last time anything happened to the constituent account.  For example, they were used in a ticket order, transaction, someone made a change on the general tab,  etc.  Opening up a constituent record does not constitute "activity".  Modified I believe is only triggered when someone makes a change on the "General" tab, but please someone correct me if I'm wrong.
