Hello!
I'm Gabby Awuma, and I work at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC. We reopened our museum to the public and migrated to Tessitura v16 last year. A recent issue we (mostly our Visitor Services team) has come across is that members who decline or waive their benefits cannot reserve tickets for free online or at the ticketing desk through our Visitor Services staff. We understand that Tessitura is working correctly in not providing that benefit, but it is an intangible benefit we offer to members and donors who decline their benefits and/or give through DAFs.
My question is, has anyone found a workaround or created a way to make this work even if it's internal staff reserving comp tickets for the member/donor on their behalf?
Any and all insights are welcome! Thanks so much in advance!
Best,
Gabby
Gabby,
Would adding a new Membership Level or Organization for all donations where the donor declines benefit work? This way, the only benefit that would apply is the free admission benefit and by the nature of the level, would not include any other tangible benefits.
