Level-first Membership Program adding affiliated Members

Hello all! I am here adding a post because being #18 on the list of top-forum posters is WEAK

Just kidding. I hope everyone's travels home today go smoothly!

Next FY, I am looking to add an optional "add-on" membership to some of our member levels. I'll try to explain what ours looks like because it's not a traditional contribution membership.. We are currently using the membership-as-product plugin in v15 and process memberships in the Orders Screen.

At the ACGK, Organizations can purchase "arts org" memberships that provide them with resources and benefits as an arts org. The membership row actually lives on the org record. We also have Individual artist memberships. We use the recipient field in subline items to 'apply' the membership to the org, even if the employee from that org logs in online and own the order. What I want to offer is the ability to purchase additional add-on memberships so that the organization can give their staffs individual memberships as an employee benefit of working there. Based on annual budget, you get a certain number of these for free, and then have the ability to purchase more at a small cost-per-membership amount.

I think I want a different membership organization and would add these additional memberships (with recipients as the member constituent records) in a separate line item with editable pricing, or maybe one of the levels is "included" and the other is "additional". Then, I'd add affiliation relationships from the add-on members to the org record.

I am hoping that you have memberships where people from those donor orgs can use the benefits, and I'm curious how you have that set up! Any thoughts or advice is appreciated. Especially considering how to purchase on TNEW! Right now we are using a Contibute2 page to collect money on account, and then apply that in an order screen.

ANY feedback is hugely welcomed!!! Grin Thanks in advance!!
