Complimentary Memberships in TNEW

Hi there,

Hope you're all well.

Question for the group - we're looking to implement a new complimentary 18-30 Membership scheme here at Cheltenham Festivals.  While we're still ironing out some of the details around proof of eligibility and ticket delivery, we originally wanted to make this available through TNEW in order for the scheme to be more accessible.  However, we've since realised that complimentary memberships are not available 'out-of-the-box' in our current TNEW version.

We'd like to minimise customisation where possible, and thus I was wondering if anyone had any (ideally native functionality) solutions for how to administer a complimentary membership in TNEW?

I'd be grateful for any advice or recommendations Slight smile

    Hi Martin

    We do comp memberships for our local residents, were we need to validate their address - so same but different to your membership. 

    We do this on TNEW by having a performance each month that we have visitors add to their cart, create an account & check out on TNEW. We remove/hide the guest checkout option through CSS so they must create an account.

    We then get the visitor to call at the admissions desk when they next visit, with their proof of address (utility bill etc) & once sited the team then create the membership which is very quick given their account details are already in Tessitura. We are currently using memberships as products but having looked at v16 membership changes, the process should not take any longer.

    Thank you so much for your reply, and sorry for my delay in responding.  This is really helpful - we've always used Memberships as contributions, so please excuse my ignorance in this next question!  Is it possible to sell some Membership types as contributions and others as products, or will Tessitura only allow one or the other?

    Hi Martin,

    We do actually sell both here -I am very much looking forward to V16 though so it's all the same for all memberships!
