Moving From Rolling Membership To Set Membership Season

I'm wondering if anyone has done this, moved from a rolling membership to a set membership season with specific start/end dates no matter when you contribute. We are a presenting house so we have all sorts of shows all year round but are looking at possibly changing to a set membership season, asking in the fall for donations (I have personally only worked with rolling membership ever)...has anyone ever done this that I could chat with about how you rolled it out, what you did with people (their benefits) whose expirations would not normally fall in the new membership calendar during the transition year, how it went...I have allll the questions?!?
