Hello,
We are a museum with nine different membership levels. We use pricing rules based on constituencies associated with these levels to control pricing of events (both in the application and on TNEW). Our membership office would like to start allowing memberships to go into a lapsed state for three months after the expiration date, allowing constituents access to their member benefits during this time. Does anyone else have a similar setup? I'm wondering if running the membership utility update and moving people into lapsed status will keep the constituency code on their record for that three months (while still acknowledging the original end date of the membership). If it doesn't, I'm at a loss as to how to change our pricing setup since we want member pricing to automatically fire. I don't see another option in pricing rule setup that would relate to membership. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I just tried putting a membership on my own account in TEST and had it expire at the end of September. I then ran the membership update utility and it changed my status to lapsed. And my pricing rule still fired, so I'm hopeful this will work but I'm always hesitant to implement until someone else says it works for them. :-)
