I'm looking at setting up memberships for our organization but wanted to know if cumulative giving across campaigns can trigger membership levels.
For example, if I have Campaign 1 and 2 and a minimum membership level $500, will the membership be triggered if the constituent provides two gifts of $250 to each campaign?

This should work, provided both campaigns were tied to the same membership organization when they were built.
