Hello,
I've received a contribution for a gift membership from a foundation. Is there a way to soft credit the patron who initiated the foundation contribution and then assign the membership to the separate patron they'd like to gift the membership to? I've tried to assign the membership in the Membership tab and then soft credit in the Match/Credit tab, but I appear to get an error advising that an additional creditee is not allowed. Are there any solutions to solve this?

Hey Justin!
If you want the contribution to appear on all three records, I think you'll need to soft credit both the person who initiated the gift and the membership patron and then manually add the membership to the membership patron. I don't think you're able to assign a membership in addition to adding a soft credit within the contribution. Maybe someone else has figured out another trick, but that's what I normally have to do.
