Hi all,
We have a flat price monthly membership (it is functionally a monthly subscription service) that we recently switched from being handled with a lot of custom coding to the traditional membership structure in Tessitura. We're looking to increase the monthly price of this membership from $30 to $40. Currently, the membership is set up to be a 6-month membership that starts on the first of the month in which the contribution is processed. I'm hoping to use this time to switch the membership to an annual membership that always activates on January 1st and lasts until December 31st, since that makes way more sense with how we use the membership, and would eliminate the need to worry about rolling over anyone who joins at an odd time (I was not in the position I currently am at the time this was set up, so I'm kind of looking to solve the problems that were created). The problem is, whenever I attempt this with the Membership Auto Renewal utility in our Test environment, despite the fixed date option being selected in every membership level, the created memberships begin after the expiration dates of the current memberships, which is not what I want. Is there any way to force the utility to not consider the current membership's expiration date? Alternatively, can I run the utility and then edit the memberships it creates en masse so they follow the calendar year? Is there anything else I should be considering at this time, since I'm about to touch every membership at once?
