One-Time Guest Passes Member Benefit

We’d like to explore a way to use Entitlements for our telefunding voucher program, however, we are not using membership functionality at this time.  Sue, can you provide any links to any existing documentation here so we can look into how this could possibly work for us as well?   Thank you for sharing your experience with us!  Feel free to contact me offline if you’d rather at nburandt@vafest.org.

I definitely want to avoid paper passes, and I like the idea of having them expire when the membership does so it urges the member to use them. I tried looking all over the network for information about Entitlements after Laurel suggested them, but I’m coming up short. Would you be able to send me any info you may have or point me in the right direction to figure out exactly what they are and how to set them up? We add one-time passes to the member account as Entitlements when someone joins or renews.  Members can redeem them for timed tickets (for IMAX and Planetarium shows) online, in-person or over the phone.  Once redeemed they can show a QR code on their phone to enter their venue.   The passes expire when the annual membership expires.  We used to send out paper passes and the electronic passes help make our Box Office more efficient (fewer members waiting in line to exchange paper passes) and most members like them because they don’t need to remember to bring paper passes with them to the Museum.

I don't have a quick answer about mass adding money on account but if this is going to be a long term thing, you might look into setting up the Entitlements functionality. It lets you define how many of different types of benefits a donor/member gets based on their membership level and then they can appear in the header so cashiers know what they have left and can allocate them. It can also be configured for the web. It would take a bit of time to define your needs and get it set-up but if this is a long term thing it might be work it and have possibilities beyond guest passes. I believe it is an add on feature you can ask Tessitura about.
