Prior to using Tessitura we used to do promotions where we offered lapsed members an extra 2 months free if they renewed. Has anyone found a way to execute this without manually adjusting each record?
We had a utility created for us that does just what you describe. In addition to other parameters it uses contribution start and end dates, membership levels that you want to include, and how many months you want to add to the membership expiration date. I'd be happy to tell you more about it, and we'd be willing to share the utility if you're interested.
Jennifer, that would be great! Let's connect offline: megan.martin@crystalbridges.org
Hi Jennifer and Megan!
We are migrating from Raiser's Edge and I was previously able to manage expiration date promo extensions within Raiser's Edge via a Global Add functionality.
We are currently in the Tessitura implementation process right now and I am starting to investigate how we can execute our 2 month and 1 month expiration date extensions in a non-manual way as well.
I know this thread is a few years old, but curious to know if you are still using this expiration extension date utility? Or have picked up any other tips or tricks over the past few years.
Thanks!
Miranda
Hi Miranda,
The process has evolved from one that used the utility to one that is triggered by a qualifying contribution. No muss, no fuss. Completely hands off. If you're interested in this, I can put you in contact with our DBA who made this magic happen. I'm sure he'd be happy share with you how he did this.
Just let me know if you're interested.
Jenny
