Hi Everyone,
I can see there is a way to set up renewal notices to send notices to the givers or recipients of gift memberships, but when testing this I noticed it generates a letter for all givers in that lapse period OR all recipients but does not allow me to choose one or the other based on patron preference. When our patrons give gift memberships, they can choose if they want the renewal notice to be sent to the giver or the recipient when the membership expires. Is there a way in Tessitura to assign who to send the renewal notice to during or after gift membership contribution entry?
Many thanks,
Carolyn Brown

Thank you, Jim—that is a great idea!

Hi Kimberly - we use the Creditee Type to distinguish. We have 2 types, "GM - Giver Renew" and "GM - Recipient Renew". The gift entry team assigns the appropriate one when entering the gift membership and then I use the creditee type to segregate the renewal notices.
Hope this helps!

I am recirculating a post sent from our institution over a year ago to see if there is any new insight on the topic of Gift Membership Renewals:
Thank you,
