How do I reactive a membership? The membership expiration date isn't until next summer but the member status is inactive? How do I rectify this?

You may have found the answer already, but there's no way to make an inactive membership active again short of going into the database and editing it manually, (not generally recommended.) Perhaps the expiration date on that membership passed, the membership became inactive, and then somebody edited the expiration date? The Membership Update Utility doesn't reactivate old memberships--once it's inactive it stays that way. More detailed info in the documentaton here.
