Dynamic URL's using Data Fields in WordFly

I'm wondering if anyone has tried adding a Wordfly Dynamic Field into a URL so that each patron would receive a unique link taking them to a survey I'm creating through survey monkey. The dynamic field would act as means to specify which survey each patron receives.

Thank you!!

  • I haven't, but I'm keen to. I'd like to create a unique URL with the customer_no appended on the end of it. That way, SurveyMonkey will be able to store the results against customer_no and you could do all sorts of interesting back correlations between people's answers and their sales history and other results.

  • We have used dynamic tags at end of the url as well eg

    http://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/whats-on?prod_season_no=##CS Production Number 3##

It used to be that you could only add them to the query string but I believe that Wordfly updated their code i November last year with the following.

    Personalized URLs

You can now add data fields to the path portion of your URLs, in addition to the query. And great news, these links can be tracked, too. Use personalized URLs in your emails to help subscribers find events based on their preferred genres and much more.
