Hi guys,
We've recently started having problems at Plymouth Pavilions with customers using Promotion Codes to access ticket offers on the website. Although some people are entering the correct code online, they are not seeing the discounts applied as they should be.
This problem seems to be sporadic and we can't see any rhyme or reason for the problem. Most customers seem to have no problems at all, but we're seeing a significant number calling in saying that entering the promo code doesn't discount the tickets as it should. Our Box Office agents are talking people through the process over the phone to make sure they're doing everything correctly but no luck. We are occasionally able to replicate this problem in the office, but again there's no consistency, so we're at a bit of a loss as to what's causing the problem. It doesn't seem to be restricted to a specific device or web browser. It's also a recent problem as we've only started seeing this problem occur in the last few weeks.
Is this something anyone else has experienced when using promotion codes on their websites?

Something to check, make sure that you aren’t using the same promo code for multiple sources in TR_WEB_SOURCE_NO. If you do that, the system won’t know which of the sources it should pick and it might end up picked one that isn’t associated with your offer. For the web, each promo code can only be associated with a single source.

Usually I see this when guests select their seats prior to entering the promo code. If someone selects seats in the default Web MOS prior to entering the promo code our web code isn’t sophisticated enough right now to realize that the order needs to be released and the MOS needs to change. Did I mention we are working on a new website to launch within the next month? J

I think you are on track here. We are interested in having customers be able to enter a promotion at any time during the order process and even change/revise the offer code during an order. I am hopeful v12.5 will permit this level of flexability.
