Need the help of the Tessitura brain-trust:
Wondering how long organizations keep non-responding eMail addresses on their eNews lists (e.g., do you take someone of the list is they have never opened or never clicked? After how many years?)
Or, do you keep them on your list because it ‘boosts’ your stats with management (e.g., we have 50,000 eNews subscribers – but don’t say 35,000 of them have never done anything).
Grateful for your thoughts. Do you have strategies to try to 'engage' these non-responders?
In advance, thanks.
Elizabeth

Depending on the type of e-mail we are sending, we try to suppress e-mail addresses that were created over six months ago or updated over six months ago that are used in promotions that haven’t had any opens or click-throughs or transactions within the past six months. (Sometimes we suppress a year of inactivity instead of six months.)
Having said this, the dynamic lists I use that have the code in it that figures all this out don’t know what to do right now, because all of our e-mail addresses got marked as updated when we did our version 11 upgrade!
