Performance and Pricing Audits

Hello all - is there anyone out there that knows how to track changes made to performances and pricing?  We've recently had a string of wild occurnces with our reporting - one show in a theatre of 310 reported capacity just fine except for one day where capacity jumped to 918, then the next day was back down to the normal 310 capacity.

Just today, base prices in our inventory reports jumped $4, but are fine now when the report is re-run.

On another note, we've rescheduled our reports to run at 1AM as opposed to midnight (to prevent any timing hiccups), but other than user changes, i cannot isolate why our report has had such odd numbers, only to report normal numbers when rerun.  Anyone heard of this or have any insights?

Many thanks!

  • Two things to clarify:

    1.       Base Price is calculated on all price maps with Base Indicator for the selected price type without regards to the start/end dates.  The base price is effectively always available for calculations and does not change.  If you add a new price map as base (ticking Base Indicator), it is as if the base price had always included this additional map.

    2.       If you have multiple price maps of the category Ticket Price (id = 1), you will see that some reports count for each price map using Ticket Price.  So a sold seat using two price maps of Ticket Price would show as 2 for some reports.  This also applies to Season Overview.  This is one reason why some licensees place dynamic/incremental revenue price maps into a separate price category.

    Hope this helps.

Can we assume the other price maps in that price type do not have base indicator checked off?

Is your report looking at the base_ind column in TX_PERF_PMAP?

Hi Nicole – we are using multiple price maps to create our price types, but we’ve double checked that the price category is correct on the maps making up the base pricetype.  They all start and end on the same date as well.  Also, the number of SEATS is correct, but the base price is displaying at $4 more than it should.

Are you using multiple price maps layered to create your Price Type?  If so, are multiple price maps marked with a Category of Ticket Price?  Most reports count Category Ticket Price when calculating the number of seats.

    Let me know…

  • Ryan,

Do you know if this is happening in v. 12.5.1? I'm trying to figure out capacity and I know the Season Overview is incorrect when it says we've only sold 35% of our house. How do I know what it's looking at and how to fix it? I want it to look at only the seats that have been marked as available on the facility maps.

    Thanks.
