Hello all,
We are currently looking into the use of attributes and interests in Tessitura and I was wondering if anyone has done anything exceptionally innovative or cool with these.
Thank you!
Best,
Jana Landin
We use Interests to mark the 20+ “preferences” in our eClub profiles – and Attributes similar to Dan Taraborrelli’s explanation.

Hi Jana,
With 11 organizations in our consortium, I feel like I've seen it all. Usages of Interests aren't all that interesting. We primarily use them in conjunction with performance keywords to determine what types of programming a patron might enjoy. Also for email list sign-ups.
As for attributes, they are all over the place. Here are some usages:
- Number of consecutive years as a subscriber
- Preferred contact method
- Giving Capacity
- Graduation year (for alums)
- Performance attended as a guest (i.e. did not buy the tickets)
- Special Needs requirement
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
