Hello all,
I'm sure there is a simple answer to this, but I can't seem to lock in on it! :(
After creating a List in List Manager, generating the contents, and viewing the contents, how can I export it to an Excel file?
The Save menu item is greyed out, but I'm not sure if that's a functionality or a security issue?
Any pointers would be very much appreciated.
Cheers,
Nicholas
Hi Nicholas
The Save button is there because you can edit your List manually in the Contents screen - add or remove constituents - but it will be greyed out unless you have.
Underneath, the List is literally just a column of constituent numbers, so if you could export it, that's all you'd get. You need to specify what pieces of data you want about your List members, which you do by defining an Output Set, (in the Output Set Builder, under the Tools menu) and then running the report called "Execute an Output Set", with your List selected.
It's fairly straightforward to set one up to mimic what you see in the List contents screen, if that's what you need, and one with all the basic contact info that you can use for a lot of common needs, but it's much more flexible than that.
There's a t-cast available here about using Output Sets, and what you can do with them.

Thank you Ken and Lucie,
I successfully created the Output Set and resulting exported list. This will be used to print out our ACMI Membership cards.
In the event that this may prove useful for others, this is how the list is being used:
We are looking into possible ways for eMedia Card Designer to directly access the Tessitura DB, I will post back if we can get this functionality running.
Thanks again.
