Marketing Report Help...

I have someone in our marketing dept. asking for a way to do the following:

What I was looking for…

For a given season,

People who purchased tickets via a certain mode of sale, price type or promotion code,

On specific dates or date range….

And from that list,

Find the # of seats purchased by these folks

And the ticket revenue that was generated…

So we could review the money we spent advertising these specific promotions vs. the ticket money each promotion brought in.

This is pretty standard Marketing stuff – and we have no way to get it out of Tessitura that I know of without hours and hours of manual work.

Is there a report that will get us close included with Tessitura?  Has anyone created something similiar?

Thanks!

  • There are two standard marketing reports that you should look at:  Campaign Appeal Revenue Expense (renamed in v9.0 as Revenue by Source and Appeal) and Performance by Appeal.  Both break out ticket sales (counts and amounts) by source and appeal (i.e. your promotional efforts).  Both have a list parameter so that you can limit the sales listed to constituents on a specific list, allowing you to create a list based on mode of sale or price type.  The Campaign Appeal Revenue Expense report lists sales for all products in a selected campaign and includes expense information if you are recording it on your sources and appeals.  The Performance by Appeal report lists sales for a single event or single performance and has order date range parameters.
