Hi All,
We are getting ready to produce Sarah Ruhl's In the Next Room, or the vibrator play. And we found that some of our regular advertising outlets are scared of title and a couple won't run any ads that include the title. Has anyone else run into this issue either with this show or other shows with titles that scare off the advertisers? If so, what did you do?
Thanks in advance,
Robert Hankins

Hi Robert,
Can you email me off the listserve and I’ll put you in touch with a colleague at Lincoln Center, where the show ran last season? My email is tomo@roundabouttheatre.org.
The only other example coming to mind is “The Mother________ with the Hat” this season on Broadway, and that is often how the title runs in publications.
Cheers,
Tom
