process ad sales

Does anyone have advice on how to process/track ad sales through Tessitura?  It's not a contribution, class or ticket sale so this is unfamiliar territory for us.  I appreciate your ideas!

  • We track ad sales and a few other such non-gift revenue items through the contributions module using (obviously) distinct campaigns, funds, and sources. A possible negative is that these will show up on the Contributions screen. However, the great positive is that having ad revenue in Tessitura makes it easy to see how much certain constituents really mean to your bottom line.

  • We set up our Program Ad Sales as events in Tessitura with editable price types. Each production has its own event. It has worked well for us.

Our ad sales are set up as fees (user defined and editable) and are in a separate season and campaign from ticketed events/related fees.
