Our organization is in the process of introducing Tessitura and we need to make the call on Choosing Wordfly or Prospect2 for EM deployments. We are currently using Mailchimp for our EM deployments. They are some older threads from 6+ years ago on this topic, so I wanted to start a new discussion to see if there are any more recent opinions on the pros/cons of each platform. Thanks to all!
I'm a happy user of both platforms. Propect2 is an integration between ActiveCampaign, which has a very robust editing interface and connects with many other services, such as Twilio for SMS. WordFly is more contained, writing their own editor and introducing modest improvements regularly. The biggest advantage aside from cost might be the ability to pick up extracted data in WordFly, so more control is on the Tessitura side, whereas Prospect2 is all via the API with most control on the Prospect2 and ActiveCampaign sides. Support's pretty good for both, products, with maybe slight edge to Prospect2. You might require some customizations to do with WordFly things you can do with Prospect2 out of the box. I might be able to answer more specific questions.
Thanks so much for your reply John. Any thoughts on how each platform handles customer journeys or automations (things like Welcome emails, renewals, upsell, etc.)?
And which platform do you prefer in regards in SMS integration?
I think WordFly is usually adequate for Automations, but ActiveCampaign just goes and goes and goes and goes like a fractal or something. In US,
Prospect2 is the SMS option of these two, because Wordfly keeps promising they're going to but I haven't seen any announcement that they have it yet.
are you able to share some of the campaigns that your organization has built with Active Campaign? On our end we are looking to build out some welcome and onboarding journeys, and lifecycle campaigns like upsell, renewals and win back for Members. We have been using DM and EM for years and just started with SMS earlier this year.
