Hi,
The programming team have set me a challenge and I do like a challenge.
Basically they have had requests in the past for patrons to be able to try a series of events before committing to purchasing a full subscription.
Ie - if someone attends one concert and then decides they would like to subscribe, we would like them to be able to purchase tickets for the remaining concerts of the series in a way that the total cost, including the full price they paid for their first ticket, is the same as if they had subscribed at the beginning.
I could of course create a set of pricing rules depending on the number of events booked but this wouldn't be in a package situation which would then allow us to 'rollover' these newly captured patrons for the next season.
Anyone tried anything along these lines?
Thanks,
I'm wondering if you've looked into peel-off packages? That combined with either a discount-type or adjustment payment method to "eat" the difference of the original single ticket vs if that original ticket had been the subscription price type is how I've generally seen this sort of thing handled. Which approach might be preferable depends on your reporting needs. Others in the Ticketing & Admissions community may have additional approaches as well.
