Social Media Membership Tracking in Tessitura

Hello Tessitura Friends!

Some members of our organization are curious about tracking social media memberships (ex: Facebook) in Tessitura.  There is a thought that by recording in Tess if someone is a fan of our page on a social media site, our telefunders can use it as a topic of conversation (though it may be useful in other situations as well).  There are several different views on this subject and I think it would be helpful if we gathered some perspective from other organizations.  Is anyone else tracking Facebook fan membership in Tessitura?  If so, have you found it useful?  Any thoughts on this would be most helpful.

Many thanks!

    Hi Cassie,

We’re not doing recording this in Tessitura at the moment, but I presume this practice will become a bit more prevalent as more organizations integrate their website logins with Facebook Connect (see the Kennedy Center’s excellent presentation from this year’s Social Media Showcase at the conference).

This topic is definitely something we’re interested in for the long term, so I’ll be curious to see what others are doing.

    Cheers,

    Tom
