suppressing _purged constituents

Hi all,

How do you go about suppressing _purged constituents from new lists? For example, if I ask LACMA to "forget" me, and my record is marked as _purged, but LACMA gets a list from another local organization with my name on it, then LACMA has no way of identifying me as someone who has asked not to be contacted. Post-purge, there's no identifiable information on my record to match against the newly acquired list. How do other people go about this? We've discussed making new records for these people just to include them in a suppression, but I figured there has to be some other ideas out there.
