My First Time Pulling a List!

Hey everyone! I'm a 2 month Tessitura user who just completed their first performance. I need to pull a list of first-time ticket buyers who have NO previous history with our organization. We ARE a part of a consortium. I just completed the online lesson regarding lists and output sets, but I want to make sure I fully understand.

Question 1: What parameters/criteria should I use to pull this list?

Question 2: How would I go one step further and exclude those with comps?

Thank you!!

  • Hello!
There are plenty of smarter people on here that may have a better way than I do, but here's some place to start:

In this example, the opera is today, and you're running this extraction just after the opera starts so you've gotten all the walk-up sales in.

First, this is an extraction. You'll probably have at least two segments:

    1) First segment is anyone whose performance/ticket history is any date from the dawn of time to yesterday. So it looks something like this:

Criteria is Ticket History Perf Date

    Between 1/1/1900 AND 9/25/22

In the main screen of the extraction, be sure this segment has the "suppr flag" box checked.

This kicks out everyone who has seen something before today.

    2) Second segment is everyone who came to the opera today.

Criteria is Ticket History Performance HAS [find the performance in your list]

Also in that segment, you can kick out the comps in a number of ways. Some people might have a ticket type; you'd find that and select "standard." I do it on "Tickets - Total Amount" and use >=1.

Save this to a list and then check some of the results to see if that worked.

This is just a rough stumble through, but might get you started.

    Good luck!
