Let's say we have a promotion from Tessitura of our season brochure which gets mailed to certain constituents. Now there are customers, who after the brochure is mass mailed, ask to have a brochure mailed to them, which we do by hand. Is there a way to include a constituent in the promotion that has already been created in Tessitura (so when a box office representative needs to choose a source for that constituent, it pops up right away)?
You can do it pretty easily from the back end, but I don't think there's a way to do this through the front. Other than perhaps making keeping a list of "later mailed brochure" people in List Manager and manually adding the constituents when such a request came in, and then promoting that to a new source. You could a manual list say weekly, to avoid having a bunch of sources with only one person, but then there'd be a delay between the actual mailing and the promotion showing up.
It might also be more useful to keep the 'later mailed' people seperate from the 'season mailing' people in order to get an accurate view of how effective the mailing in question was. if you want to make sure the constituent automatically receives the next season mailing you could create an atribute called 'Season Brochure' or something which can then be pulled up when you create the extraction for the mailing.
Sorry - I've just realised that the reason you want it to add it is so that the Box Office can select it from a list. Could you create an outside source called Requested Brochure, or similar? Would still be more accurate than adding it to the Brochure Mailing.
I second the idea of having an outside source. If you add the constituents to the inside source it will not accurately represent the segment you originally mailed. The easiest way to manage the outside source is to enter in the 'Ad Hoc Brochure Request' source number to the Label Key parameter when you pull your brochure request labels from the CSI Information Request Labels report. That way the operator can ask the constituent to quote the number on the right side of the label when they make their order.

I also need to manually add a promotion to a constituent. But our Finance dept. wants it to go to the same source as the promoted inhouse list. Just checking to make sure doing this from the backend is the only option. If this is the case, why is there an ADD button under promotions?
