Our communications manager has come up with a fun idea, but we're not sure if it's possible. We'd like to send a triggered email on the anniversary of the first time a patron attended a production with us. If possible, it could note how many years ago that show was. I've been puzzling over possibilities on how to pull this information in list manager. Has anyone done something similar or does anyone know how it could be accomplished?

Depending upon what email platform you are on, I would go about it by skipping list manager and talking directly to our Tess database manager. Ask if they can write a custom view that would query a Tess customer's 'first performance date' as part of the criteria. This is an oversimplification, but ideally, the view would look for patrons every day that had their first performance 365 days ago in the past. If a customer meets that criteria they would be eligible to receive an email. Ideally, you would also query the date/time/name of the performance as well into the custom view and use that as dynamic content blocks. Then it would get more platform-specific(Prospect2 or Wordfly) as to how to trigger the email campaign setup, and how it runs.
