Giving different discounts based on number of concerts in a subscription

Hello,

Has anyone been successful in selling choose your own subscriptions on the web where there is a different discount amount based on the number of concerts you buy? For example 4 concerts you get 10% off , 5 concerts you get 15% off and 6 concerts you get 20% off?. The alternative would be using different promo codes for each level or a set dollar amount off instead of a percentage. I would also be interested in any other ways you have approached this.

Thanks,

  • Rika,

We’ve done this for next season with flex packages for each percentage off.  The price types/price maps are configured accordingly.  We have a flex package set up for 5-6 plays at one discounted price and another flex package for 7-10 plays for lower discount.  That’s the way we got around having custom coding for one flex package that calculates according.  I realize it’s a bit more set up to have more than one flex package, but it does away with anything custom in the back end.  And with flex packages, the set up is a lot quicker and easier than fixed seat and/or super packages.  Hope this helps.
