Consortium Email Address Practices

Hello,

I am interested in learning what other consortium's are doing as far as email address standards and practices.  We are in the last legs of adding our last consortium member and are needing to address how to handle email addresses on the consortium level. 

Here a few questions that I have:

• Are control grouped eaddress types effective if each org. wants control over the email address they use? 
• What sort of issues has any consortium/organization run into with respect to eaddress' and their use?
• Is anyone using eaddress purposes as an alternate to using control grouped eaddress type, or are they being used in conjunction?
• What role does the primary eaddress have in the consortium?  Is there a consortium wide primary?

Any information on email use in consortium's would be great.  I anticipate this affecting our current practices and would like to get a framework in place so we can start to prepare our website and email system for the change in how we organize and use emails.
