We're using TN Express Web for our web sales, and I was wondering how other organizations tracked patrons who received promotions within Tessitura to web sales. So if one received an email, then decided to by a ticket online, how would we attach the promotion as a source for the transaction?
I don't know how you would do it in Express Web but the API does have the ability to update the source on a web order. We use a drop down "How did you hear about...." as one methodology - other places we know that they could only reach the page through an email or promotion so it automatically updates the source / appeal at time of purchase.
If you are using a promo code (offer) for the sale, then as long as you have a different source setup for that promo price type it should work as well - I think that would work without any modifications needed on your front end, but again, not Express Web user here so don't quote me on that.
